Visual Arts

The Visual Arts curriculum provides students with a rich and immersive exposure to classical, contemporary, folk, and tribal art forms, nurturing both creativity and cultural appreciation. It aims to develop artistic expression by engaging students in activities where they perform, create, respond, and interconnect with various forms of art.

Through hands-on experiences such as painting, sculpture, and craftwork, students are encouraged to explore materials, techniques, and ideas, fostering independence and innovation. These activities not only enhance fine motor skills and aesthetic sensibility but also build confidence, focus, and emotional expression.

The programme serves as a journey of self-discovery, allowing students to identify their artistic aptitude and passion in a joyful and inspiring environment. By blending traditional and modern art forms, the Visual Arts curriculum helps students appreciate India’s diverse cultural heritage while also embracing contemporary creativity, ultimately shaping well-rounded, imaginative, and expressive individuals.

Performing Arts

The Performing Arts curriculum, comprising Music, Dance, and Theatre, forms an integral part of the Co-Scholastic programme, fostering creativity, expression, and collaboration among students.

Music serves as a powerful medium for interpersonal connection, promoting teamwork, discipline, and empathy through group performances and composition projects where ideas, instruments, and talents are shared. The dedicated musical space provides students with enriching experiences in Indian classical and folk music as well as Western vocal and instrumental music, helping them appreciate diverse musical traditions.

Dance, as a blend of movement, rhythm, expression, literature, and philosophy, is used as a tool to enhance concentration, mental alertness, coordination, and physical agility. The curriculum encompasses various Indian classical and international dance forms, encouraging students to explore cultural diversity through movement.

Theatre, on the other hand, deepens students’ understanding of themselves and the world, building confidence, empathy, and communication skills. Through role play, improvisation, voice and body control, and group enactments, learners experience the power of storytelling and collaboration. Students are also motivated to write scripts, perform plays, and participate in stage productions, fostering creativity and leadership.

Altogether, the Performing Arts programme nurtures holistic development by integrating artistic expression with emotional intelligence, teamwork, and cultural appreciation.
