PSED (Personal Social Emotional Development)

Counselling:
The Counselling programme is thoughtfully designed to support each child in
exploring their unique potential and connecting with their authentic self.
Implemented by a team of experienced counsellors, the programme guides
students through the various developmental phases of life, helping them
navigate emotional challenges, work through inner conflicts, and build healthy
interpersonal relationships. It emphasizes the development of coping skills for
situations beyond a child’s control, equipping them to manage the
complexities of the adult world around them. Through regular sessions,
individual guidance, and group activities, the counselling programme fosters
emotional resilience, self-awareness, empathy, and well-being, ensuring that
children grow not only academically but also socially and emotionally, with a
strong foundation for lifelong mental health and balanced personal
development.

Collaborating with Parents:
Collaborating with Parents is a key aspect of fostering a supportive and
nurturing environment for students. Through parent partnerships and support
groups, the school works closely with families to ensure sensitive, informed,
and positive outcomes, especially during challenging circumstances such as
special education needs, single parenting, divorce, grief, or bereavement.
These collaborations provide parents with guidance, resources, and emotional
support, while keeping them actively engaged in their child’s academic,
emotional, and social development. By maintaining open communication and
mutual understanding, the school and parents together create a cohesive
support system that helps children navigate difficulties with resilience,
confidence, and a sense of security.

Zero Tolerance towards Violence:
Zero Tolerance towards Violence at G.K. Gurukul ensures that every child
learns and grows in a safe, supportive, and respectful environment. The school
counselling team proactively addresses all forms of violence, including subtle
manifestations such as isolation, exclusion, or rejection, acting swiftly to
protect the well-being of students. This approach ensures that every child feels
valued, secure, and supported, enabling them to reach their highest potential
academically, socially, and emotionally.
